human rights
I sent an email to ACLU that stated:
“I believe the constant categorization of groups and rights is discriminatory.
I believe it’s better if rights were framed as human rights and not immigrant rights or trans rights or women’s rights.
then stances are (hopefully) easier to understand and broadly applicable and principled within the jurisdiction of America.
for examples,
any human can marry another person with each other’s consent and via a proper legal process.
any human can adopt someone via a proper legal process.
any human has a right to their own body and their own health choices (such as abortion, vaccination, surgery, hormonal treatments, etc.).
any human can join a religion of their choosing and should not force their beliefs upon others.
any human can enter or leave a country via a proper legal process.
children need to be guided by a proper guardian.
something like that.”
