because data centers are physical facilities for networked data, I wonder if all of ChatGPT, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, and every pornography website should be entirely deleted. this doesn't mean I think they should end forever, but that they should at least not retain most of their data indefinitely. I wonder if every university, college, and academic institution and government institution should go through its systems and consider examining its information storage and considering how to make it more efficient. I wonder if every website with a blog should appoint someone to go back and read their work and then delete them all while noting anything important to be saved locally. maybe we are currently trapped in an era of too much information so disinformation and misinformation have proliferated like an artificial invasive species of the internet. most if not all LLM AI models are indistinguishable from hoaxes because of their original idea is illogical/nonsensical. it’s a waste of money and resources. it’s addicting because much of its underlying data is to engage anything, not to educate or advance. it lacks limits and boundaries. you can put a fire in a firepit or fireplace or another suitable container and that is a good technology. or you can set the world on fire and destroy everything. I believe the KIPP charter network should be entirely shut down and that anyone that has ever worked there should reflect on what they did to children. knowledge is knowledge and power is power and to “teach” knowledge is power is evidence of deceptive and inappropriate marketing in its context of education.
